Multi-site

Run Ultraviolet across more than one cluster, region, or datacenter and it rolls everything up into a single view. Each site reports back to one core over a secure, outbound-only connection.

The Sites overview

The Sites page (under Infrastructure) is your fleet at a glance: how many sites and clusters you have, how many nodes are up, and the volume of traces, logs, and metrics each site is sending, with when it was last seen. Click a site to drill into its nodes. Throughout the product, you can filter by site to focus on one location.

Adding a site

Use Add site (an admin action) for a short, guided setup:

1. Identity — name the site and cluster, and choose how long the join token stays valid.
2. Install — you’re handed a one-time join token and a ready-to-run command to start the connector at the remote location.
3. Connect — the wizard waits and confirms as soon as the site’s first data arrives.

Built to survive the network

A site connects outbound only — it dials the core, so you don’t expose the core to every location. Data is tagged by site, and buffered to disk if the link drops, so a network blip loses nothing and backfills automatically on reconnect. The core confirms each site’s identity from its own credentials rather than trusting whatever a site claims about itself.
