Metrics
The Metrics page (under Monitoring) lets you explore any metric flowing into Ultraviolet and see how it moves over time.
Exploring a metric
Section titled “Exploring a metric”- Pick a metric with type-ahead search — as you type you’ll see each metric’s kind and how many services and nodes report it, busiest first.
- Choose an aggregation (average, max, min, sum, count, or last value).
- Filter by service or node to focus in.
- Set the time window (15m to 7d) and optionally live-refresh it.
You get an instant value for the current window plus a chart of the trend. Counters, gauges, and histograms are all supported.
Where metrics come from
Section titled “Where metrics come from”Metrics arrive alongside everything else — from your infrastructure and from any OpenTelemetry source you already run. There’s nothing extra to wire up beyond pointing existing exporters at Ultraviolet.
Alert on any metric
Section titled “Alert on any metric”Any metric you can chart, you can alert on. Create a rule with the Metric value condition, pick the series and aggregation, set a threshold, and route it to your channels. See Alerts & notifications.
