Introduction

Ultraviolet Observability is a self-hosted observability platform that shows you everything happening across your infrastructure — and runs entirely inside your own environment. There is nothing to add to your applications, and your data never leaves your control.

What you get

One place for the full picture of your systems:

  • Service map & traces — see how your services talk to each other, with request rates, errors, and latency for every one.
  • Logs — search and filter all your logs, correlated with the traces they belong to.
  • Metrics — explore metrics from your services and dashboard the ones that matter.
  • Infrastructure — the health of your Kubernetes nodes and workloads at a glance.
  • Alerts, notifications & dashboards — get told when something is wrong (Slack, Teams, PagerDuty, email, webhooks) and build the views your team needs.

Nothing to instrument

You don’t change your applications to use Ultraviolet. There are no SDKs to add, no code to annotate, and nothing sitting in your request path. Turn it on and it starts observing your services and their traffic — HTTP, DNS, database calls, and more — automatically. If you already emit OpenTelemetry, that flows in too.

Your data stays yours

Everything runs inside your own environment, and it keeps working with no internet connection at all — including fully air-gapped. Your telemetry is stored where you deploy it, under your control, and is never sent to us. You decide how long to keep it.

Our hosted service is deliberately tiny. It does exactly two things: it issues your license, and it hosts the signed, verifiable software you install. It never receives any of your observability data.

One view across many sites

Run Ultraviolet in more than one cluster, region, or datacenter and it rolls everything up into a single view. Remote sites connect back over a secure, outbound-only link and keep buffering during network blips, so nothing is lost.

Easy to live with

Ultraviolet is built to be low-maintenance: one install, then hands-off upgrades, scheduled backups, and retention you control — so it looks after itself instead of becoming another system you have to babysit.
